Tom Butler

Tom Butler graduated with MFA Sculpture from Slade School of Fine Art, London in 2007, having completed BA (Hons) Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art, London in 2005 and BA (Hons) History of Art and Design at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton in 2000. He has exhibited widely and his work is placed in prominent private collections globally. Butler is recognised for his ongoing series of painted cabinet cards, where he works over the surface in immaculately rendered gouache. Balanced delicately between beauty and the grotesque, he is interested in the complexities of revelation and concealment.
