Graham Dolphin graduated with BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting from Bath Spa University in 1994. Since then he has enjoyed a distinguished career, exhibiting at renowned galleries and institutions globally, and being placed in many significant private and public collections. Process based, Dolphin effortlessly works across media, but always in reference to popular culture and predominantly music, lyrics and text. In this series Dolphin uses a hot soldering iron as mark making tool by drawing through reversed fashion magazine pages onto blank paper. The heat melts and transfers ink precariously, suggesting an uncertain duality of beauty and the grotesque.
