Graham Dolphin graduated with BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting from Bath Spa University in 1994. Since then he has enjoyed a distinguished career, exhibiting at renowned galleries and institutions globally, and being placed in many significant private and public collections. Process based, Dolphin effortlessly works across media, but always in reference to popular culture and predominantly music, lyrics and text. Dolphin is engaged in an ongoing series working in text rendered in various styles and media, which meditates on a conflation of popular culture and current affairs. We also present disrupted figurative pieces where Dolphin uses a hot soldering iron as mark making tool by drawing through reversed fashion magazine pages onto blank paper.
