Lydia Pettit

Lydia Pettit is a Baltimore-born, London-based artist who received her BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014, and her MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2020. Pettit creates psychologically charged work that explores trauma, embodiment, and the unstable relationship between self-image and memory. Drawing from horror cinema, feminist art history, and personal experience, her work oscillates between vulnerability, confrontation, and dark humour. Recent presentations include White Cube, London; Galerie Judin, Berlin; and Galerie Sebastien Bertrand, Geneva.
